Malmö Live

Among other things, Malmö Live houses two concert halls, a congress hall and a hotel with 444 rooms. Malmö Live consists of three buildings which are connected to each other by a common entrance floor which greets everyone. Skanska was contractor and construction client for the congress and hotel, while the City of Malmö was construction client for the concert house. The architectural firm schmidt/hammer/lassen based its design around the location, the position within the city and Malmö Live’s various functions. The result is a building which is open in every direction and which has no front or rear. Nordic Choice opened the hotel, congress centre and restaurants on 2 May 2015.

In the many entrances, we have used our aluminium section mats and, with our tactile paths made from brass, ensured that the entrance and basement floors meet applicable access requirements.
